Jesse Polsky

Passionate undergraduate researcher with aspirations of attending medical school

Sophomore from Boca Raton, Florida, majoring in Biology with a minor in Health Disparities in Society. Among my extracurriculars, I conduct genetics research as a part of the Someya Lab, under the guise of Dr. Shinichi Someya, an associate professor in the Department of Aging and Physiology in the University of Florida College of Medicine. Through my time, I have become proficient in mice handling, genotyping, PCR, gel electrophoresis, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, primer design, qRT-PCR amongst many other practical skills. I have a project concerning differential mRNA expression amongst the FCG mice line as well as other future endeavors.
