HCA North Florida Hospital Volunteer

  • Volunteering in the orthopaedic surgical wing providing support to the medical team

  • Providing support to patients, families, and staff through patient interaction, playing cards with them, distributing iced water, folding linens, organizing and sanitizing, locating wheelchairs, restocking supplies, answering phones, and more

Gift of Life Stem Cell Laboratory

  • Completed a 3-week internship program where I learned the process of harvesting hematopoietic stem cells from fresh blood samples as well as how to experiment and manipulate them

  • Presented my findings in a 30-minute lecture to the board of medical directors

​

First Responder Gator

  • Completing a First Responder certification course in which I learn practical vital skills and emergency handling in both medical and trauma scenarios

  • Gaining certification to practice as a First Responder in the state of Florida

Leadership and Professional Development

Global Medical Training - New Member Director & Trip Leader

  • Responsible for recruiting new members into GMT, a club that sponsors medical mission trips across Latin America, South America, and the Caribbean, through contacting professor sponsors to increase membership, and being the primary point of contact for interested students

  • Went on the August 2023 Dominican Republic medical mission trip, which is one of 4 trips that the club sponsors

  • Upcoming Trip Leader in 2024 for the same Dominican Republic trip

  • Gained 100 Clinical Hours through taking patient history, asking about their symptoms, taking vitals, collaborating with the team as an educational exercise assessing potential causes of symptoms, presenting the patient to the doctor, listening to the doctor’s thought process, understanding the doctor’s diagnosis, writing prescriptions, retrieving medication from the doctor, and educating the patient on healthy habits

 

Alpha Epsilon Pi Vice President of Health and Safety

  • In charge of managing safety and potential risk at all social, public, and philanthropic fraternity events 

  • Manage relationships with law enforcement and University officials to mitigate risk and ensure safety for event attendees

Rawlings-Broward Senator

  • One of 100 elected student senators representing the 60,000 student population

  • Responsible for passing a 23 million dollar activity and service budget, voting on hundreds of bills, and passing executive nominations

UF ACCENT Speakers Bureau College of Health and Human Performance Delegate

  • Serving as the delegate for the College of Health and Human Performance improving show turnout and engagement

  • ACCENT Speakers Bureau is the largest student-run speakers bureau in the nation which strives to educate the student body, outside of the classroom, on current hot topics and controversies by bringing influential, insightful, and sometimes controversial speakers to the university

UF Homecoming & Gator Growl Assistant Director of Logistics

  • Responsible for organizing tabling events to promote Homecoming and Gator Growl on the UF campus

  • Gator Growl is the flagship event of the University of Florida that marks the culmination of Homecoming Week. The massive production consists of musical and comedic entertainers, Gator athletics, and performances by UF’s Cheerleaders, Dazzlers, and Pride of the Sunshine Marching Band and is the largest student-run pep rally in the nation.
